Kid's football clothes
The Right Football Clothing
Football clothing serves a distinct purpose. Since each team has its own colors, it’s easy to see who belongs to which team on the field. To ensure referees can clearly distinguish between players during a match, team colors can only overlap by up to one third. Football is an intensive sport involving a lot of running, so it’s important that the clothing isn’t too tight and allows for plenty of movement.
Football Shirts
There are various types of football shirts, each with its own function. Underneath your child’s football shirt, you can add a thermal shirt. A thermal shirt helps maintain body temperature. There are thermal shirts for summer and special shirts for winter. Summer thermal wear provides cooling, while winter thermal wear offers warmth. Choose a winter thermal shirt if the temperature outside is below 10 degrees Celsius.
Football Shorts
Typically, football is played in shorts. The shorts should have moisture-wicking properties. Underneath the shorts, your child can wear sliding shorts. Sliding shorts prevent chafing in the groin area and abrasions during slides. Especially on artificial grass, slides can be very painful.
Football Socks
Football socks are part of the outfit and should match the team colors during a match. Additionally, football socks keep shin guards in place. Regular socks do not provide the protection your child's feet need while playing. Socks that are too big or too small can cause injuries. Too-large socks can cause friction and blisters, while too-small socks can lead to ingrown toenails. Some football socks offer extra support in areas that need it, such as the heels and ankles.
The Training Suit
Dress your child in a training suit before and after training or matches. The suit helps warm up the muscles slightly before starting sports. Warm muscles reduce the risk of injuries. After playing football, the training suit ensures that the body doesn’t cool down too quickly.
A training suit consists of a training jacket and training pants. You can also create your own combination by pairing a training jacket with training pants.
