Football tracksuits for kids
Keep your child warm before and after the match with a tracksuit from Nike or Adidas.
Why choose a football tracksuit for kids?
A tracksuit consists of a training jacket and training pants worn together. When your child heads out to football, it's important that their body stays warm and their muscles reach the right temperature. A tracksuit does exactly that. It's a good idea to keep the tracksuit on during the warm-up. Afterwards, it can come off, as long as the temperature allows it. During the cool-down, it's recommended to put the tracksuit back on. This lets your child's muscles cool down gradually. Cooling down too quickly can cause serious muscle soreness, and no child enjoys that!
What should a kids' football tracksuit offer?
If the tracksuit is used for playing football, it should be made from breathable material. The fabric needs to wick away sweat so your child's body stays dry and comfortable. Training pants often have zips at the bottom of the legs. This makes them easy to put on and take off without removing the football boots. Most kids' tracksuits have several pockets for storing small items.
A tracksuit is also great to wear at home. In that case, material matters less and comfort becomes the main priority.
Different kids' football tracksuits
There's also a difference between training tracksuits and presentation tracksuits. Both types are made from polyester, but the structure differs. Training tracksuits can be recognised by their slightly shiny finish. Presentation tracksuits are also known as woven tracksuits. These are made from woven polyester, a thinner fabric than standard polyester tracksuits. The yarn in woven tracksuits is tightly woven, creating a smooth, supple fabric.
How do I wash the tracksuit?
You obviously want your child to enjoy their tracksuit for as long as possible. To make that happen, it's important to wash it according to the care instructions. These are listed on the label inside the tracksuit. Skipping this can cause the tracksuit to lose important properties. Don't use fabric softener, and let the tracksuit dry on a drying rack.
