Socks for women
Types and Sizes
Socks come in many types and sizes, and it is most comfortable when the sock comes up above the shoe. If the sock doesn't rise above the shoe, it can cause irritation at the edge of the sock and potentially lead to blisters. A footie is an exception, as these socks are designed to be worn invisibly inside sneakers. Low socks are also very suitable for sneakers, but if you're wearing long pants, you can also choose mid-length or high socks.
Material
Socks need to feel comfortable and not cause irritation, which is why many socks are made from a combination of cotton, polyamide, and elastane. The elastane helps the socks stay in place and prevents them from slipping down.
Tip
Sports socks are often even more comfortable than regular socks, which is why some people choose to wear these socks all week. Sports socks are often made partly from mesh material, which provides extra ventilation. Additionally, they offer extra support at certain pressure points, ensuring that your feet stay well protected.
