- 1,000 mm: The rainwear repels water but is not pressure-resistant. For example, if you sit on a wet chair, the rainwear will eventually leak.
- 2,000 mm: The rainwear stays waterproof during longer rain showers, but will still leak under pressure.
- 5,000 mm: The rainwear can withstand long and intense weather conditions; it remains waterproof even under high pressure. However, very prolonged high pressure can cause leakage.
- 15,000 mm: The rainwear is resistant to heavy rain showers and will keep you dry even underwater.
Spring and Autumn Jackets
In the spring and autumn, it is often too warm for a winter coat but too cold to go outside without one. For these seasons, there are so-called transitional jackets. These are not necessarily very warm, but they mainly protect you from wind and cold, preventing you from getting chilled. Many transitional jackets have a hood, and some are even waterproof.
