Captain's arm bands
What Should I Pay Attention To?
There are several differences between captain's armbands. For example, you have the elastic band, a completely round band without any closure, which can never come loose. Another type of captain's armband is the one with a Velcro closure. Since this type of armband is adjustable, it fits anyone, which is very useful if your team doesn't have a permanent captain!
It's important that the captain's armband is a different color from the team shirt. This makes it easy for the referee to identify the captain. While it is not mandatory to wear the armband on the left upper arm, most players do. What is mandatory is that the armband is worn on the upper arm and is approximately 10 cm in width.
Mourning Armband
When wearing a mourning armband, it is expected that it is worn on the left arm. This means the captain's armband is moved to the right upper arm. The mourning armband is worn when someone has passed away. By wearing a mourning armband, the entire team can pay their respects to the deceased.
