Men's running tights
The Right Running Pants
Tight running pants, also known as running tights or sports leggings, are very popular and offer you plenty of freedom of movement. There are even special winter tights designed to provide extra warmth in cold conditions. During warmer days, you can opt for ¾ tights or shorts. Be sure to wear long tights if the temperature is 10°C or lower, as cold temperatures can negatively affect your muscles, increasing the risk of injury. The material of your running pants should be moisture-wicking to keep you dry while running.
Not comfortable in tight running pants? No problem! There are also looser-fitting running pants available. Just make sure the looser pants are made of breathable, lightweight material, so they cause as little hindrance as possible during your run.
A looser pair of running pants can cause chafing between your legs or groin. You can prevent this by wearing compression shorts underneath your running pants. Additionally, compression pants offer muscle support, reduce soreness, and enhance recovery.
Technologies
Some running pants feature technology designed to wick away sweat and keep your body feeling cool and dry. The brand Rogelli uses 3D-Function technology for this purpose, while Superdry uses SuperdryTech technology.
Running tights generally feature an elastic waistband to ensure a good fit. Many running pants also have reflective details to make you visible when running in the dark. You can always increase your visibility by wearing additional reflective items.
Extras
When purchasing running pants, you can also pay attention to extra features such as a zippered pocket or an inner pocket where you can store your key. Some running tights also have short zippers at the ankle to make them easy to put on and take off.
Tips
Wash your running pants as soon as possible after exercising to prevent sweat from soaking into the fabric. Avoid using fabric softener and do not put the pants in the dryer. Always check the care instructions on the label inside the pants.
