Men's long running tights & leggings
Why a Long Tight?
A running tight is a pair of running pants that fits snugly around your body and is also known as a sports legging. Since the pants are form-fitting, you have full freedom of movement and are not hindered by your clothing. The difference between a tight and a looser running pant is that a tight barely lets wind through. Because the tight fits tightly around your legs, muscle vibrations are reduced, saving energy. Blood circulation remains stimulated, and waste products are quickly removed, reducing the buildup of lactic acid, allowing you to run longer without discomfort. It also prevents friction, which can cause irritation. Finally, a tight retains your body heat and quickly wicks away sweat.
Which Season?
In principle, you can wear a long running tight year-round. In warmer weather, you may opt for a shorter tight, such as a ¾ tight or a running short. However, always wear a long tight when the temperature is 10°C (50°F) or lower, as it helps keep your muscles warm and reduces the risk of injury.
The Material
Most long running tights are made from breathable material that can quickly wick away moisture. By pulling moisture away from your body, they keep you dry and comfortable. Long tights typically have an elastic waistband with a drawstring to ensure a snug fit. Some tights feature zippers at the bottoms of the legs, allowing for easy on and off.
Washing Instructions
Try to wash your long running tights soon after exercise to prevent sweat from soaking into the fabric. Avoid using fabric softener and do not put the tights in the dryer, as fabric softener can damage the technical fibers. Always follow the washing instructions, which can be found on the label inside the tights.
Tips
Some long tights have a small pocket where you can store small items like your key.
To increase your visibility in the dark, it is advisable to complete your outfit with reflective accessories.
