Hockey gloves men
Hockey gloves for men from The Indian Maharadja and Brabo protect your hands from grazes and give extra grip on the stick. Indoors you're required to wear closed gloves, because you play closer to the ground there and the chance of a ball hitting your hand is greater.
Why wear hockey gloves?
During hockey training or a match it's important to protect yourself well, which you can do among other things by wearing hockey gloves. They cover the whole hand, preventing your hands from grazing on the (artificial) turf or indoor floor and causing scrapes. Wearing hockey gloves also gives you more grip when holding the hockey stick. Indoors it's mandatory to wear closed gloves, because you play closer to the ground and the chance is greater that a ball is played against your hand. You're required to wear the hockey glove on your left hand, but of course you may also wear it on both hands for optimal protection.
What should a good hockey glove offer?
A good hockey glove provides protection while playing hockey and doesn't function to keep your hands warm. There's also a difference between gloves for indoors and for the pitch: outdoor gloves are often not fully closed and a bit thinner, indoor ones are often a bit thicker.
What size do I need?
Most hockey gloves have a size range from XXS to L, so both juniors and seniors will find a suitable pair. Put a tape measure around your knuckles to determine the circumference of your hand, then check the size chart from The Indian Maharadja, Brabo or Reece.
