Hockey facemasks men
Facemasks for men's hockey from Brabo and The Indian Maharadja protect the face of the corner defender during penalty corners. They don't offer full head protection and therefore may not be worn by goalkeepers, but may be worn by field players defending a penalty corner.
Protection during the penalty corner
During a penalty corner, the corner defender stands at short distance from the player hitting the ball, and the ball can come towards the face at high speed. A facemask protects the face of the corner defender at that moment. Most masks have adjustable velcro straps for a good fit, so the mask stays in place and can be put on and taken off quickly. Note: the mask doesn't offer full head protection and is therefore not permitted for goalkeepers.
