Indoor hockey shoes for men
The surface indoors is of course very different from the surface of the outdoor hockey pitch, so it makes sense that you need indoor hockey shoes tailored to that. The indoor floor is often a bit slippery, and to stop you from simply sliding, indoor hockey shoes offer extra grip. It's also important that indoor hockey shoes don't leave marks on the floor. The indoor floor is often much harder than the outdoor artificial turf, so it's also very important that indoor hockey shoes offer good cushioning. That way impacts are absorbed by the shoe and the risk of injury is much lower.
Outdoor hockey shoes for men
Outdoor hockey shoes for men have very different properties from indoor hockey shoes. The soles, for example, are often fitted with small studs, which give you optimal grip on the artificial turf pitch and let you make short, quick movements. In the past outdoor hockey shoes were mainly made from leather, but with the arrival of water-based pitches that has shifted considerably. Most outdoor hockey shoes are now made from synthetic, water-repellent materials.
