Kids' football shin guards
Safe and Mandatory
Since 1999, wearing shin guards during football matches has been mandatory. It’s no surprise that we’ve grown accustomed to wearing them, often using them during football training as well. While it is not a requirement for training sessions, wearing them is still the safest option!
Size
When buying shin guards, it’s wise to try them on beforehand. Shin guards that are too small will pinch, causing discomfort and limiting freedom of movement, which can affect your child’s concentration. Conversely, shin guards that are too large can shift around and provide inadequate protection. Only properly sized shin guards will offer the right level of protection, so it’s not advisable to buy them “to grow into.”
Tip
If you have separate shin guards that are held in place by your football socks, it can be helpful to use guard stays around your ankles to keep the shin guards securely in place!
