Swimshorts
Swimshorts are streamlined, close-fitting swimwear. They come in various styles and colours. Briefs, boxers and jammers offer little resistance, which boosts performance. They also look great on the beach or at the pool. We're happy to explain what to look for when buying.
Close-fitting swimwear
The swim brief is a sporty, close-fitting style that offers less resistance than, say, swim shorts. That's why it's popular with competitive swimmers. It's important that it fits well. Too tight, it pinches; too loose, it can slip down. Keep in mind it loosens slightly in the water.
Most swim briefs have a drawstring. Some also come with UPF sun protection. Check the exact features in the product descriptions.
Technologies
Some brands use special technology when making swim briefs. Speedo, for example, uses Endurance10 technology for a better fit and a soft, comfortable feel, 100% chlorine-resistant and fast-drying. Arena uses Waternity technology, giving the brief a soft feel and a good fit. It's also chlorine-resistant.
