Football track jackets
Why a Training Jacket?
It’s important for your muscles to be warm when you start a football training session or match. When your muscles are cold, it’s almost asking for an injury. Cold muscles are less flexible, increasing the risk of muscle tears compared to starting your workout warm. During a warm-up, especially on colder days, it’s wise to wear a training jacket. This helps keep your torso warm and prevents you from catching a chill. The torso is the core of your body, and when it’s warm, it’s easier for your body to keep the rest warm too.
Not only during exercise but also after exercising, it’s crucial for the body to gradually return to its normal temperature. Therefore, it’s highly recommended to do a cool-down after training or a match. This helps your body temperature decrease gradually, reducing muscle soreness. Wearing a training jacket helps to prevent your body from cooling down too quickly.
Training Jacket Against the Rain
Once the body gets wet, it’s difficult to keep it warm. Many training jackets not only keep the body warm but are also waterproof. They often feature a hood to prevent rain from dripping down your neck. The fabric blocks water from entering but still allows sweat to escape. This ensures the jacket doesn’t stick to your body.
Many training jackets are equipped with a mesh lining, a net-like material that wicks away moisture and optimizes air circulation. This prevents you from overheating while training.
Tip
Wash the jacket inside out at 30 degrees Celsius. This keeps the jacket looking good for longer and preserves its functionality.
