Football tracksuit
A tracksuit for men is designed to keep your body warm. A tracksuit can be worn before, after and possibly during football, but can also be worn comfortably at home. A tracksuit fits comfortably and provides warmth. If you only wear it at home, it doesn't matter what material the tracksuit is made from. If you wear it to football, it's important that it's made from material that's able to wick away sweat.
What is the purpose of a football tracksuit?

Why wear a tracksuit during football?
A tracksuit is a good choice to wear on your way to football training or a match. It keeps your body warm and helps your muscles reach the right temperature. Keep the tracksuit on during the warm up in any case. After the warm up you can take it off, provided the temperature allows it. As soon as you start the cool down, we recommend putting the tracksuit back on. Your muscles then cool down gradually, reducing the risk of muscle soreness. If it's cold outside, keep the tracksuit on during football too.
What material is a tracksuit made from?
Most tracksuits are made from polyester. Polyester is a material that's good at wicking away moisture. Your body stays dry and comfortable as a result. Additional benefits of polyester are that it's lightweight, dries quickly and holds its shape and colour well. A distinction is made between training tracksuits and presentation tracksuits. Both types are made from polyester but differ in structure. The standard tracksuits are the training tracksuits. These have a kind of sheen to them. Presentation tracksuits are also made from polyester, but in a woven form. These suits are therefore thinner than the standard tracksuits. The yarns are woven tightly together, giving a smooth, supple fabric.
The pants of a tracksuit usually have short zips at the bottom of the legs. This makes it easy to put the training pants on and off over your shoes.
Football tracksuits from different brands
A tracksuit needs to fit well, and once you're used to a specific brand as a man, you might never want to switch again. At PlutoSport you'll find tracksuits from brands including Adidas, Nike, Puma and Under Armour. But how do these tracksuits differ from each other? Where Adidas and Under Armour tracksuits mainly come in neutral colours, Nike and Puma tracksuits also let you choose a bolder colour. Nike tracksuits are all equipped with Dri-FIT technology, and for Puma tracksuits this is dryCell technology. Both technologies ensure that sweat is wicked away quickly. In terms of price, the tracksuits from the brands above are all fairly close to each other, which isn't unimportant either!
Tip
To enjoy your tracksuit for as long as possible, it's important to wash it according to the care instructions. The care instructions can be found on the label on the inside of the tracksuit.
