Clothing for women
The swimsuit has grown in popularity in recent years. Not only among competitive swimmers, but also when you go to the beach or pool you see more and more swimsuits. Swimsuits come in various models and have features that let you get into the water worry-free.
The swimsuit
In recent years the swimsuit is making a comeback and no longer falls short of the bikini. Competitive swimmers have always worn a swimsuit, because a swimsuit offers little resistance and doesn't ride up. On the beach too you see more and more women in a swimsuit. A swimsuit covers the body more than a bikini, which some women find pleasant.
Models
There are various models of swimsuits. The difference is mainly in the back. The back can have a so-called X-back, where the shoulder straps are joined in the middle. This gives you plenty of freedom of movement without the straps slipping. If the swimsuit doesn't have an X-back, make sure the shoulder straps are adjustable.
Elastic, strong and comfortable
The material of a swimsuit must be strong and durable. Swimsuits made of Lycra have a nice fit, feel soft and are durable. Swimsuits made of Endurance are ideal for swim training: chlorine-resistant, colour-fast, shape-retaining and quick-drying.
Some swimsuits are also UV-protective. Watch out for slides and rough surfaces, as these can damage the material.
Tips
When trying on the swimsuit, raise your arms above your head to check that it stays in place. Don't buy your swimsuit too big, because in the water the material stretches a little. Rinse your swimsuit well right after swimming and wash it at home according to the care instructions.
