Requirements

As a referee, you need to be easily distinguishable from the players. Therefore, referee clothing is designed in colors different from the players' outfits. Additionally, referee clothing often features multiple pockets to securely store the accessories you need during the match. Some referee shirts even have Velcro closures on the pockets to prevent items from falling out.

It is also crucial that the clothing keeps your body dry and comfortable. Referee clothing should be made from materials that effectively wick away moisture. Besides the clothing, you need accessories to perform your role as a referee effectively. A whistle and a set of yellow and red cards are essential.
