You can choose to wear just a thermal shirt or thermal pants, but by wearing a thermal set, you’re protected all around and can enjoy the slopes without worry. A thermal set consists of a thermal shirt and thermal pants, which you wear as a base layer under your ski clothing. Thermal clothing helps wick away moisture and maintain your body temperature, keeping you dry by transferring sweat to the second clothing layer.

When wearing your thermal clothing, it's essential to consider the three-layer system. The first layer is the base layer, which consists of thermal clothing that you wear directly on your skin.
