Sunglasses for winter sports

For those who prefer not to wear ski goggles on the slopes, there are also sunglasses available. Since you're high up in the mountains and the snow intensifies the sun's rays, we recommend wearing sunglasses that provide protection. It's important that the sunglasses are large enough to block all wind and UV rays from your eyes. Additionally, they should fit snugly to prevent them from falling off during turns and slaloms. Many sunglasses come with rubber tips on the arms to ensure they don’t slip off your face.

UV radiation

Sunglasses are designed to protect your eyes from UV radiation. To provide the best protection, it’s important that the sunglasses fit closely to your head. If they don’t, UV rays can still reach your eyes from the sides. Sunglasses not only protect against the sun but also against cold winds, which could otherwise cause your eyes to freeze, and against snow or ice spray.

Tip

Also, wear your sunglasses on the terrace next to the slopes to protect your eyes. Take good care of them!
