Paddles
How to paddle?
Paddling actually means moving the paddle through the water, which helps you move forward. When canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddling, you can't avoid needing a paddle to propel yourself. Always make sure to only pull the blade of the paddle through the water, otherwise you make it unnecessarily heavy for yourself. Want to make a turn? This works in the opposite way, paddle on the left side of your kayak or sup board if you want to go right, and vice versa.
Which paddle do I need?
Many paddles are versatile, so you can use them for both stand-up paddling and kayaking, for example. When canoeing and kayaking, it is advisable to choose a paddle that has a blade at both ends, so you can cover more distance in the water. A good paddle is lightweight, has good handles, and is adjustable.
