Sailing jackets

If you do water sports, a good jacket is not an unnecessary luxury. Especially on cooler days with wind or rain, a sailing jacket makes all the difference.

Sailing without worries

A good sailing jacket protects against wind, water and cold, and makes sailing in winter possible. When choosing, look for ventilation zippers under the sleeves, an adjustable hood, the number of pockets and taped zippers.

Waterproof sailing jacket

It is important that the sailing jacket is waterproof and windproof. Most are lightweight and made of polyester, a breathable fabric that wicks away perspiration to keep you cool and dry. Often there is a drawstring with stoppers in the hem, so that no wind gets under the jacket, and adjustable cuffs with Velcro on the sleeves.

Washing instructions

Read the care label on the inside of the sailing jacket carefully. If you do not wash the jacket as directed, the waterproof function may be lost. Do not use washing powder or fabric softener: they affect the waterproofness.
