Tennis Trackpants
What should a good tennis pants meet?
The difference between a normal sports pants and tennis pants is that tennis pants must meet a number of additional requirements. Tennis pants must have large pockets where tennis balls can be stored. Because tennis is a reactive sport, you often make sudden and explosive movements. The pants must be strong enough to withstand these movements.
The material
The pants must keep the legs warm and dry, not every fabric is suitable for this. The fabric must absorb sweat as quickly as possible and release it back into the air. In addition, it must be able to keep rain out. We advise against choosing a cotton tennis pants. Cotton is a fabric made up of hollow fibers, these fibers absorb a lot of moisture but do not release it. The pants become wet and heavy, causing the legs to quickly become cold. Therefore, choose pants made of synthetic fabrics. Polyester is a fabric that is very suitable as a sweat absorber. Pants made of a combination of cotton and a synthetic fabric are suitable.
When do you wear long tennis pants?
In the cold winter months, it is obvious that you wear long pants while playing tennis. In spring, and even occasionally in summer, we recommend choosing long pants before and after a training session or match. Firstly, this ensures that you are warm before you start, reducing the risk of injuries. After the match, training pants prevent the body from cooling down too quickly, significantly reducing muscle soreness.
