Types of scarves
Infinity scarf
An infinity scarf is a round scarf that you pull over your head and can often adjust to fit with a drawstring. Because you don't need to tie the infinity scarf, you can tuck the bottom part into your jacket, so cold and wind have no chance of getting in.
Rectangular scarf
A rectangular scarf can be wrapped around your neck several times and fastened by tying the two ends together. The big advantage of the rectangular scarf is that you can put your hood up and wrap the scarf around it, keeping your head nice and warm too and stopping your hood from blowing off.
Material
Many scarves are made from fleece material, which keeps you nice and warm while also being breathable. Fleece is also lightweight and slightly stretchy. An ideal material for scarves, in other words.
