Types of accessories

There are various types of badminton accessories. In addition to a badminton racket, you also need shuttles to play this sport. Badminton shuttles

There are two types of badminton shuttles: nylon shuttles and feather shuttles. The advantage of nylon shuttles over feather shuttles is that they last longer and are cheaper. Feather shuttles, on the other hand, allow for more precise play and are therefore very suitable for tactical games. Nylon shuttles require more speed, power, and stamina from the player.

Feather shuttles consist of 16 feathers, which are goose or duck feathers. Feather shuttles achieve higher speeds and provide more control and feel than a nylon shuttle. However, feather shuttles are more prone to damage or breakage compared to nylon shuttles. The speed of feather shuttles can be adjusted by bending the tips of the feathers inwards or outwards.

Grip

A grip on the handle of the badminton racket ensures that you can hold the racket securely and prevent it from slipping out of your hands. There are two types of grips, a standard grip and an overgrip. A standard grip is directly attached to the racket. An overgrip is a grip that is placed over the standard grip. The overgrip enhances the handle. A standard racket grip is often perforated to absorb moisture and keep the racket securely in the hand.

Tip

The heavier the shuttle, the faster it will go. Official competition shuttles should weigh between 4.74 and 5.50 grams.
