Playing Badminton

Badminton is played a lot at the campsite, but also as a sport in the sports hall. This sport can be played as singles (2 people) or doubles (4 people). In badminton, the art is to keep the shuttle in the air using a badminton racket. You score a point when the shuttle lands on the opponent's side of the court or in the net, or if the opponent hits the shuttle outside the lines.

Footwear and Clothing

Badminton is, besides a popular family game at the campsite, an indoor sport. For this, you need the right footwear and clothing. Firstly, the shoes must have a non-marking sole. This means that the shoes do not leave marks on the sports floor. Additionally, it is important that the shoes provide enough cushioning and grip.

Since it is always warm in a sports hall during exercise, you only need shorts and a top or t-shirt. Make sure that these clothes wick away sweat well to keep the body dry and prevent the clothing from becoming heavy. Also, it is important to have a lot of freedom of movement in the clothing you wear, so you are not restricted during exercise.

What else do you need?

Badminton is a sport played at both recreational and competitive levels. In order to play badminton, you need, in addition to the right clothing and footwear, a badminton racket, net, and shuttle. Additionally, there are various accessories that make playing more comfortable and safer.
