Swim fins

Flippers, also called swim fins, provide extra propulsion through their surface. You make smaller swimming movements, which uses less energy and scares off fish less quickly. Good for snorkling, diving and training in the pool.

Closed heel flippers

Closed heel flippers have a fully closed heel — comparable to a rubber shoe. You order them in your normal shoe size. Always check that the flipper doesn't pinch and doesn't slip off: the fit is crucial for comfort and safety. Wet the flipper before putting it on, that makes it much easier.

Open heel flippers

Open heel flippers cover only the front half of the foot. At the back there's an adjustable strap, so one pair can be worn by several people. Many models can be combined with watershoes or dive boots. They're also suitable for use with bare feet.

Care

Rinse flippers well with lukewarm fresh water after each use to remove salt, chlorine and any bacteria. Let them dry in a shady, ventilated place — direct sunlight can damage the rubber.
