Briefs or shorts
There's a difference between swim briefs and swim shorts. Swim briefs fit tightly around the body and have no legs. A swim boxer fits snugly or a little looser and has short legs. For competitive swimmers, swim briefs are the best choice thanks to the streamlined design.

Points to consider
Keep the following in mind when choosing your clothing:
- The longer the leg, the shorter you appear.
- Horizontal stripes make you look wider.
- Vertical stripes make you look taller.
- In the water, clothing becomes looser. It shouldn't fit too wide.
Material
Clothing is often made of polyester. Polyester is light, feels soft and dries quickly. It also keeps its shape and is wear- and colour-fast.
Tips
Always wash your clothing according to the care instructions. Don't use fabric softener and hang the clothing up to dry.
