Men's Outdoor
Active and relaxed
Walking has a positive effect on the heart, blood vessels, muscles, bones, lungs, and brain! So you could say that walking is good for your health. And even though you might not expect it, you can burn 250 calories with just an hour of brisk walking!
Moreover, there's nothing better than clearing your mind after a hard day's work. During a walk in the fresh air, you won't be tempted by all the computer screens and phones, just completely relax. While walking, you can enjoy the beauty around you and shift your thoughts, providing a mental relaxation.
The outdoor outfit
It's nice to wear multiple layers while walking, so you can take something off when you're warm or add a layer when you're cold. In winter, it's advisable to wear three layers: a moisture-wicking layer, an insulating layer on top, and finally a wind- and waterproof layer. In summer, it's wise to wear breathable clothing so your body can easily release heat. It's also very important that the clothing has breathable and moisture-wicking properties. Additionally, you can wear a cap to keep the sun off your face.
Outdoor shoes for men
Outdoor shoes are an important part of the hiking outfit, protecting your feet from injuries and other discomforts. They also provide a lot of grip, allowing you to walk worry-free on all terrains without slipping. Hiking shoes are available in high or low variants. If you're hiking in the mountains, it's advisable to choose high hiking shoes as they provide extra ankle support. For walking on flat terrain, such as in the city, low hiking shoes are also suitable. To further protect your feet, you can wear hiking socks. Hiking socks are often seamless or have flat seams, significantly reducing the risk of blisters.
Tips
If you're not in top condition yet, start with gentle walking and gradually increase the pace. The same goes for the distance.
