Hiking clothing for men
Bad weather doesn't exist, but wearing bad hiking clothing does. A walk starts at home with choosing the right clothing from brands like Regatta, Icepeak and Pro-X Elements. By dressing well, you protect your body and are prepared for various weather conditions.
Bad weather doesn't exist, bad clothing does
The three-layer system was devised as a guideline for your upper body. By wearing different layers, you can take something off when you're warm and put something on when you're cold. Each layer has its own function.
The base layer
The first layer, the base layer, keeps your body temperature stable and quickly wicks away sweat. Thermal wear is suitable to wear as a first layer.
The mid layer
The second layer, the mid layer, has an insulating function and sits slightly looser around the body. As a mid layer you can wear a polo, shirt or fleece from Regatta, for example.
The outer layer
The third layer, the outer layer, protects against rain, wind and snow. A rain jacket or softshell jacket from Icepeak is suitable as an outer layer.
Pants and your feet
For your lower body there are hiking pants, made from lightweight and quick-drying material. On long walks you reduce the chance of blisters by wearing special hiking socks, these have flat seams and wick away moisture well.
