Why a Sweater?
Wearing a sweater helps you stay warm. Keep the sweater on during your warm-up so your muscles can gradually loosen and warm up. If you feel warm enough after the warm-up, you can take off the sweater. However, put the sweater back on right after your workout so your muscles don’t cool down too quickly.
A sweater is very comfortable, which is why it’s also popular to wear in everyday life.
During Your Workout
If you're still not warm enough after your warm-up, you can also wear the sweater during your workout. It's important that the sweater is made of a material that can quickly wick away sweat. Sweaters made of 100% cotton are not ideal because they absorb moisture, becoming wet and heavy. A sweater made from a synthetic material, such as polyester, is a better choice. This fabric absorbs sweat and wicks it away. A cotton-polyester blend is also an option.
Types of Sweaters
There are different styles of sweaters. A sweater could be a low-neck or high-collar sweater, with or without a hood, and with or without a zipper. A sweater with a hood is often called a hoodie. A sweater with a full zipper is also known as a zip-up sweater or jacket. Some zip-up sweaters also come with or without a hood.
Tips
Wash your sweater according to the care instructions listed on the label inside the sweater.
