What clothing do you wear while playing volleyball?

While playing volleyball, you definitely wear a volleyball shirt, volleyball shorts, and volleyball socks. Volleyball shirts often have short sleeves, allowing your arms to move freely and not be hindered in your game! According to the regulations of the volleyball association, matches must always be played in short volleyball shorts. There are different types of volleyball shorts available: tight volleyball shorts and loose volleyball shorts. Loose volleyball shorts are more commonly worn by boys, while tight volleyball shorts are more popular among girls, but this also depends entirely on your own preference! Just like volleyball socks, whether you prefer long volleyball socks or short volleyball socks, you can decide for yourself!

What shoes do you wear while playing volleyball?

While playing volleyball, you wear indoor shoes, but not every indoor shoe is suitable for playing volleyball. Volleyball shoes have extra good grip because you need to make a lot of sideways and forward movements. Additionally, it is important that the shoes absorb the shock after landing on the ground, preventing the knees and back from taking a hit. Good cushioning is essential! You cannot see how good the cushioning is on the outside of a shoe, you can only feel it. Many volleyball players choose to buy new shoes every year to ensure that all functions work optimally!

What protection do you wear while playing volleyball?

While playing volleyball, it is not mandatory to wear protection, but many volleyball players find it nice to protect their knees and elbows! These joints can take a beating during a game of volleyball. Elbow and knee pads are often made of cushioning material, allowing you to land softly after a dive or fall!
