UV shirts for kids
UV shirts for kids with factor 50 protection from Protest and O'Neill. Quick-drying, elastic and effective in the water too.
Why UV clothing?
In, on and around the water, UV radiation is reflected by the water, which makes the risk of sunburn even higher than when you're not near water! And although you used to see few children in UV-protective clothing, it is now (rightly) becoming more and more popular. There are increasingly more sunny days in the Netherlands, so children are more often exposed to UV radiation.
Factor 50
Many UV shirts offer the same protection as a sunscreen with factor 50! The big difference is only that sunscreen's protection decreases over time, while a UV shirt's protection stays constant. Even when you just come out of the water and the UV shirt has gotten wet, it still offers the same good protection!
Properties
Many UV shirts are made from nylon, lycra, spandex, polyester or a combination of these. These materials are all water-repellent and quick-drying! So after swimming you're ready again in no time to go play. UV shirts are also elastic, which makes them very comfortable.
Tip
Children's skin is very sensitive, so it's wise to apply plenty of sunscreen to the skin that is exposed to sunlight!
