Rainsuits women
A rainsuit for women from Regatta or Helly Hansen keeps both your legs and upper body dry during a rain shower. One of the most important properties of a rainsuit is therefore that it's waterproof. The rainsuit is also very lightweight and fits loosely, so you can easily and quickly put it on or take it off over your normal clothing.
Waterproof and water-repellent
The water column of a rainsuit from Regatta is expressed as a number of mm:
- From 0 mm: water-repellent, but not waterproof.
- From 1,000 mm: keeps out water, but not resistant to pressure.
- From 2,000 mm: stays waterproof during longer rain showers.
- From 5,000 mm: resistant to prolonged and intense weather.
- From 15,000 mm: resistant to extremely heavy rain showers.
Material
Polyester is waterproof, breathable and lightweight, an ideal material for rainsuits from Helly Hansen.
