Yoga tops
The right yoga top
Many yoga tops are made of (organic) cotton, a very soft and light fabric which makes the tops extremely suitable for yoga. Other tops are made of viscose or polyester, which have the advantage of being able to wick away any perspiration well.
In order to concentrate on all the asanas you perform, it is important that the yoga top stays in place well. Because the tops have as few seams as possible and do not contain zippers and buttons, they cannot cause irritation. This allows you to fully focus on the asanas. So you can perform the locust pose undisturbed, without getting caught on that one string or getting hurt by a button.
Freedom of movement
It is important to be able to move smoothly and easily in yoga clothing, so you can choose loose-fitting clothing or elastic, tight clothing. The elastic clothing will shift less quickly. So you can simply perform the downward dog pose without your shirt sliding over your head.
During yoga, controlled breathing is especially important, so choose clothing that is not too tight.
Tip
You may cool down quickly during the final exercise. To prevent your body from cooling down quickly, put on a sweater or jacket.
