Yoga pants
Wearing comfort
In yoga clothing, most seams are hidden, there are no unnecessary zippers or cords, and there is no tag in the pants. Omitting certain details improves wearing comfort and allows you to better focus on the asanas.
Yoga clothing is often made of (organic) cotton, viscose, or polyester. Cotton is a soft and light fabric that feels comfortable and almost unnoticeable when worn. Viscose and polyester are also light fabrics, which also help to wick away any perspiration.
Freedom of movement
Freedom of movement is very important in yoga, the clothing should provide enough space and definitely not restrict you when performing the asanas. You can choose loose clothing or tight, elastic clothing. Loose yoga pants have a tight cuff at the bottom, allowing you to perform headstands without the pant legs riding up.
Various types of yoga
Are you practicing a more intense form of yoga or following the more peaceful classes? For example, in active bikram yoga, shorts are fine, while in the calmer hatha yoga, it may be nicer to wear long pants.
Tips
If you prefer yoga pants that are elastic and fit tightly around the legs, take a look at the yoga leggings.
Do not wear socks or shoes while performing yoga exercises. You have the most grip on your yoga mat with your bare feet.
