Daypacks 0 - 35 liter
What should fit in a daypack?
Are you bringing your own sandwich or looking for a restaurant on the way? Are you only taking your debit card or will you be carrying your wallet the whole way? The bigger the bag, the more items can fit in it and the heavier the bag will be. The recommended maximum weight of a daypack is 7kg, try to stay below this! Do you have any specific compartment preferences? For example, do you want a small pocket for your phone, a flat front pocket for a map, or a mesh pocket for a water bottle? Once you know what you want, you can search for a bag that suits you perfectly.
Is a daypack comfortable?
Consider the temperature in which you will be hiking, is it wise to purchase a backpack with back ventilation? Or is it cold and is that warm backpack actually comfortable? To relieve the back, it is important to feel sufficient support from the shoulder straps, hip belt, and any chest strap. It is also crucial that the backpack is not too big or too small, so it does not press and cause back injuries. Read the product specifications carefully so you won't be surprised.
What is the best daypack?
Most backpacks come with handy gadgets that make the hiking trip a bit more enjoyable. There are backpacks with a water reservoir. These are designed so you don't have to constantly reach for your water bottle to drink, but can simply drink through the tube. If it starts raining, you don't want all your items to get wet, so there are also bags with a built-in rain cover. If your favorite bag doesn't have a built-in rain cover, you can always order one separately.
