What are watershoes?

Watershoes, also called swim shoes, protect your feet against sharp stones, shells and other objects in and around the water. They are suitable not only for the beach but also for the pool, where wet tiles can become slippery. Many watershoes have an anti-slip sole with rubber studs for extra grip.

What should a good watershoe have?

A good watershoe is made of skin-friendly materials such as textile or rubber. The top is often mesh so the foot can breathe well, the grip on the bottom is firm enough for moving over wet rocks or pebble beach. Don't buy watershoes too big — they should feel like a second skin.

How do you care for watershoes?

Always rinse your watershoes under the tap after use so that salt, mud and sweat are removed. Then let them dry in a ventilated place, not in direct sunlight. That way they last several seasons.
