What are bath slippers for?
Bath slippers used to be mainly worn in the changing room after a sports match, but are now increasingly worn at the beach and pool too. The rubber or EVA sole provides grip on wet floors and prevents slipping. They also protect your feet against bacteria and fungi on public floors.
Difference from thongs
Unlike thongs, bath slippers don't have a strap between the toes but a wide band over the instep. That makes them easier to put on and take off, and more comfortable when you wear them for a long time. Nike and Adidas have the most popular models in a wide range of colours.
Care
Rinse bath slippers with clean water after use and let them dry in a ventilated place. Most models can also go in the washing machine on a cold programme.
