Sports underwear
Sports Underwear
On colder days, you can choose to wear long sports underwear, but in the summer, it’s usually too warm for that. On warmer days, it’s recommended to wear short sports underwear, which typically has the same length as regular boxer shorts. If you find that a bit too short, don’t worry, there are also sports underwear options with legs that go down to the knees. Sports underwear often features flat seams or is even completely seamless, preventing friction and irritation. Additionally, sports underwear should fit the body well — it’s important that the underwear is not too tight, but also not too loose! Unlike regular underwear, sports underwear is made from polyester, which helps wick sweat away from the body, while still allowing sufficient airflow to keep the body cool.
Undershirts
Undershirts are also available in both summer and winter variants. It’s obvious that the summer variant has short sleeves, while the winter version has long sleeves. Just like sports underwear, the undershirts are moisture-wicking, quick-drying, and breathable, keeping your body dry and fresh! An undershirt is also the first layer of the three-layer system that you can apply during colder runs. The first layer is worn directly on the skin, the second layer consists of a functional running shirt worn over the undershirt, and the final layer can be a running jacket. The three-layer system is a way of dressing that ensures you won’t get cold quickly! If you start to feel warm while running, you can easily open or even remove the running jacket.
