Kids' football bath slippers
Prevent Foot Fungus
Fungi can cause annoying itching and sometimes even pain in the feet. Fungi are commonly found in shower areas, especially in public showers. The dry, tough outer layer of the skin protects the feet from fungi. Once this layer becomes softer, its protective function decreases. This layer can soften due to the warm water from the shower or sweat. Therefore, make sure your child wears slippers while showering after playing football.
Another benefit of wearing slippers in the shower is that it significantly reduces the risk of slipping. The wet shower floor is slippery, and with a pair of slippers on, your child will have better grip.
Is Foot Fungus Serious?
Fungi cause itching and pain. Feet with fungi look less attractive and fresh. Fungi are mainly a nuisance. For people with diabetes, however, fungi can be more harmful. In these individuals, fungi have a greater chance of penetrating deeper into the skin, which can lead to infections.
Shower Slippers or Flip-Flops
The main difference in slippers lies in the type of strap. Slippers with a wide strap are often called shower slippers. The toes are slid under this strap, keeping the slipper securely on the foot. Another type is flip-flops, which have a small 'stick' between the big toe and the second toe. All slippers have a sole that provides grip.
Tip
Ensure that your child dries their feet thoroughly after showering, especially between the toes. Moist feet in shoes are a breeding ground for fungi.
