The Birkenstock slippers have a deep heelpit that offers the foot grip and support. Because of the thickening in the middle the distribution of pressure from the midfoot to the forefoot is supported. Beneath the toes a lightly raised edge has been placed which gives a lot of grip. Because of this the natural gait is created.

The slipper is made of comfortable and cushioning EVA material that is also waterproof. The high edge along the slipper protects the toes when hitting them against something.
