Women's football accessories
Useful Accessories
There’s a big difference between accessories that you truly need and those that are just handy to have. For example, a water bottle is great for quenching your thirst, a neck warmer keeps you warm during the winter months, and a coach’s board is useful for giving precise instructions. However, you could still manage to play a game without these accessories.
Currently, sock holders are very popular. These bands attach to the top of your socks to prevent high football socks from slipping down. In addition to sock holders, there are also shinguard holders, which are bands you fasten around your ankles. These shinguard holders keep your shin guards in place.
Essential Accessories
In addition to handy accessories, there are also those that are essential during a football match and/or training. For instance, shin guards are mandatory as the KNVB requires every player to wear them during a match. A captain’s armband is also a required item for one player on each team. Wearing the armband makes it clear to the referee who the point of contact is. It’s important that the armband is a different color from the shirt.
In the event of a serious accident on the field, it’s crucial to have immediate access to first aid. Many injuries require immediate cooling with water or ice, so a water bottle is also a must-have on the sidelines!
Training Accessories
During training, match situations are often simulated, and since a match involves two teams, vests are very useful for these types of drills! As women’s football continues to grow in popularity, pink vests are a fun addition to the collection.
Various training accessories are available for different types of drills. To improve agility, you might use a speed ladder or agility grid. For enhancing coordination, you can choose speed rings or sprint hurdles. Many training accessories are multifunctional and can be used for multiple training purposes!
