Firm ground football boots
Which Football Boot is Right for Me?
Football boots with fixed studs are not always suitable for the same surfaces. You’ll notice two letters behind the name of the boot: FG (Firm Ground), MG (MultiGround), TF (Turf Ground), or AG (Artificial Ground). If you only play on artificial grass, then choose TF or AG boots. For natural grass fields, it's advisable to choose FG football boots. If you play on both artificial grass and natural grass, MG football boots are the best option.
FG football boots come with either elongated studs or round studs. The elongated studs provide slightly more grip, while round studs allow for easier, quicker pivoting and turning. It depends on your personal preference which one you choose.
Football boots with fixed studs usually have 12 to 14 studs. Fixed studs are made of soft plastic, which reduces the likelihood of injury if players are hit by studs, compared to boots with metal studs.
Tip:
To ensure the boots last as long as possible, it’s important to maintain them well. Clean them regularly and allow them to air out after use. Before purchasing football boots, always check the accompanying size chart, as sizing varies by brand. A perfectly fitting shoe will give you better ball control, leading to improved performance on the field.
