Ski fleece for women
Insulating Layer
When you go skiing or snowboarding, we recommend dressing according to the 3-layer system. By following this system, you won’t get too cold or too warm. Thermal clothing makes up the first layer and its main purpose is to wick away sweat. You can wear fleece over it, which forms the second layer. Fleece has an insulating function and is soft and warm. It absorbs very little water, doesn’t lose its shape, and is lightweight. Additionally, it continues to wick sweat outward and dries quickly. A ski jacket forms the third layer and protects you from snow, rain, and wind.
Standing Still
You’re not always moving when skiing – sometimes you stand still or sit in the ski lift. Even then, it’s important to keep warm and prevent cooling down. Fleece, in combination with the other two layers, ensures that your body stays at the right temperature in all conditions.
Types of Fleece
The thickness of fleece can vary. Some fleeces are made with stretch fabric, ensuring a comfortable fit. Elastic at the neck, cuffs, and waist prevents cold air from entering. A fleece should fit snugly. Some fleeces come with a hood for extra comfort for your head. Most body heat is lost through your head, so on really cold days, it’s nice to wear something over your head. You can choose from a fleece vest with a full zipper or a sweater with a short zipper.
Tips
A fleece is also perfect for a cool autumn day in our country. To maintain the quality of your fleece, we recommend washing it according to the care instructions. You’ll find them on the label inside the fleece.
