Sports bras for football for women
Why a Sports Bra?
Breasts are primarily made up of tissue, not muscles. Once this tissue is damaged, it cannot heal, and the breasts will start to sag. A sports bra helps limit the movement of the breasts, which not only helps maintain their shape but also reduces the risk of neck and back pain! A sports bra often features wide shoulder straps and a wide band at the bottom, ensuring a comfortable fit without cutting into your skin. Sports bras are typically made from different materials than regular bras, which gives them unique properties. Many sports bras are made from polyester, which has the major advantage of quickly wicking away sweat, keeping the body dry!
What Size Sports Bra?
When playing football, you're very active, so it's important that the sports bra provides enough support to keep the breasts in place. When trying on a sports bra for the first time, it may feel a bit tight. It’s not supposed to cut into your body, but you should feel some compression.
Tip
When trying on a sports bra, it’s a good idea to jump a few times and raise your arms in the air. This way, you can properly assess if the bra provides enough support and whether it rides up. If the bra moves too much or slides up, it's best to try a smaller size!
