Women's running socks
Why Running Socks?
Running in regular socks can cause blisters and even injuries, and that’s certainly the last thing you want when you’ve just gotten into your running routine! So, it is indeed important to wear proper running socks while running. Good running socks ensure that sweat is drawn out, keeping your feet dry and significantly reducing the chance of blisters. In winter, it’s much colder outside than in summer, so you can opt for high and thick running socks. On the other hand, in summer, it's often nice to wear short and thin running socks to allow your feet to cool down, preventing overheating.
Which Running Socks?
Many running socks are marked with an L or R, indicating which sock is for the left foot and which is for the right. These specially designed left and right socks are anatomically shaped and can provide better support for the respective foot. Sometimes, extra padding is added to the sock to offer additional cushioning. The size of running socks is often indicated by a size range, showing which foot sizes the sock is suitable for. While the difference is usually small, socks with a smaller size range (e.g., 39-40) often provide a slightly better fit than those with a larger size range (e.g., 39-42).
Tip
A man's foot often has a very different shape than a woman's foot. Therefore, it’s a good idea to always use your own running socks and not secretly borrow your husband's!
