Double Glide Skates
These are the ideal skates for the very youngest. With double blades, children can easily move across the ice without falling. The clip closures make it easy to put on and take off the glide skates. The double glide skates are adjustable in size, allowing them to be used for multiple years!
Easy Gliders
The next step toward "real" skates is the Easy Gliders. These have only one blade, and since a sideways movement is also needed to move forward, these skates are particularly suitable for practicing skating on Nords. It is best to wear (high) sports shoes that can be securely fastened in the Easy Gliders. This way, the ankles can be well supported and trained. If you notice during skating that the skates feel too loose, you can easily adjust this by tightening the quick closures. The Easy Gliders fit multiple sizes (e.g., 26–31), so you don’t have to buy a new pair every winter!
Tips
By skating behind a chair or a skate rack, you can hold on and prevent yourself or your child from falling. An added benefit is that you can take a break on the chair!
Once you have mastered skating, you can transition to (combi) Nords. Don’t make this transition too early, as you are much lower and therefore more stable on glide skates.
