Fitness Resistance bands
What Are Resistance Bands?
Resistance bands are essentially wide elastic bands that provide resistance when stretched. You can use them to make your workout more intense, or conversely, to make an exercise slightly easier. Additionally, resistance bands can be used to perform individual exercises that target the smaller muscles in your back and shoulders. Resistance bands can be used by everyone! For beginners, it's recommended to start with a light resistance band that doesn’t offer too much resistance, while experienced athletes will choose the heaviest bands that provide the most resistance.
Resistance Band Exercises
Resistance bands are widely used in fitness, especially for squats! You can place the resistance band around your thighs to further activate and work your glute and leg muscles. Side steps, forward steps, and backward steps are also exercises where many people use a resistance band to intensify the workout. You can even use the resistance band while doing planks! Tie the resistance band around your ankles, get into a plank position, and then move your legs up and down one by one.
Tip
In the product description of resistance bands, it is clearly stated whether a resistance band offers light resistance or a high level of resistance.
