Trail Shoes or Running Shoes?

Standard running shoes are designed for paved roads and are therefore not suitable for trail running. Do you want to run through nature and tackle various terrains? Then you need trail shoes that provide enough grip and protection! With the right men’s trail shoes, you can fully focus on trail running and, of course, enjoy the beautiful views around you.

While cushioning is one of the most important features of a running shoe, this is much less important for trail shoes. Because you mainly run on unpaved trails during trail running, the surface is softer than asphalt. For this reason, it’s not recommended to use your trail shoes as running shoes — you’ll likely wear out the tread on your trail shoes, and the risk of injury is significantly higher!

Which Trail Shoes Do I Need?

The type of trail shoes you need depends greatly on the terrain you plan to run on. Do you often run on muddy surfaces? Then you need trail shoes with large lugs to ensure sufficient grip on very soft ground. Do you mostly run on harder terrains during trail running? Then you’ll benefit more from trail shoes with many small lugs.
