Winter Sports Clothing for Children

Although children are often very active, they generally warm up much more slowly than adults. Therefore, it’s extra important to dress them warmly! The 3-layer system is also a great guide for dressing children. The first layer consists of thermal clothing, the second layer is a ski pullover, and the third layer is a ski jacket. For the lower body, a pair of thermal pants combined with ski pants is sufficient. If you dress your child using the 3-layer system, they’ll be prepared for all weather conditions. If it gets too warm, it’s perfectly fine to remove one of the middle layers.

Ski Helmets and Goggles

Safety comes first! In many countries, wearing a ski helmet is already mandatory, and in others, it’s strongly recommended. A ski helmet protects your child's head in case of falls and collisions. It also keeps their ears from getting cold! Don’t forget about ski goggles either. Even when the sun isn’t shining, UV radiation is still strong in winter sports areas. You’re closer to the sun, and the snow intensifies the radiation. Ski goggles ensure good visibility and also prevent UV damage to your child’s eyes!

Snow Boots

Kids can spend hours enjoying the snowy powder! Playing in the snow, walking in the snow—it’s all only fun if their feet stay warm. Snow boots keep feet warm and dry, and their soles provide great grip. They’re also easy to put on and take off, making them ideal when your child needs a quick break inside for some hot chocolate in between sledding, skiing, and snowball fights.

Accessories for the Ski Outfit

Your child will only stay truly warm when everything is perfect for their winter outfit. Warm, waterproof ski gloves, a cozy scarf, and a hat are essentials! Ski socks are also indispensable. Not only do they keep feet nice and warm, but they also have padding in areas where ski boots can cause irritation. So, no need to leave the slopes due to sore feet!
